RORA Blueprint started as an internal tool - a way to stop rewriting the same onboarding documentation from scratch for every new SOC client.
It began as a set of scripts and templates the founding team used to accelerate the least enjoyable part of standing up a Security Operations Centre: the paperwork. Onboarding plans, incident response frameworks, source runbooks, detection priorities, risk registers, go-live checklists - weeks of careful, repetitive work that had to be right.
The tool proved itself under pressure on real enterprise engagements - delivering SOC onboarding documentation for a major university with a complex, multi-campus estate, and for a nuclear research organisation with some of the most demanding regulatory and assurance requirements in the country. What used to take a consultant weeks was being produced in a single working session - calibrated to the client's sector, sources, regulation, and maturity, not copied from a generic template.
Once we saw how much time it saved - and how much better the output was than hand-written packs - it stopped being an internal shortcut and became a product. Today, RORA Blueprint is used by MSPs, consultancies, and in-house security and IT teams to turn weeks of operational build work into a single, well-structured session.
Why it exists
Good SOC documentation shouldn't depend on whether your most experienced analyst had a quiet fortnight. Every new client deserves a proper onboarding pack - sector-calibrated, regulation-aware, and consistent - without the manual grind that makes teams cut corners. Blueprint exists to make excellent documentation the default, at any scale, so security teams can spend their time on the work only they can do.
